Our mission is to create healthy, wholesome border collies who exhibit sound temperaments, workability and a deep loyalty that show cases the beauty of the breed.

Welcome to Lionheart Border Collies. We are two dog trainers from opposite ends of the globe, who found each other and chose to bring our two worlds together. I (Jordan) with my two border collies, Grace and Leo, and my partner Forrest with his crew. We live on a property in South Oregon with an assortment of Border Collies, Malinois and the odd extra house guest, here for training.
We are a small kennel, where our dogs are ingrained in our family and endeavours. Our lifestyle, with its activities and training, compliments the energy and needs of the breed. Grace and Leo join us for adventures, hiking, jogging, training, camping, and fill the role of social and demo dogs to help with our clients and their dogs.
Apart from their foundational training, long list of tricks, and continuous obedience practise, we are currently training in herding, which we love. We hope to continue learning and eventually compete in other sports that we have skills in - now that we’ve settled into a new country.
Life with a border collie is a special partnership and can offer great purpose and fulfilment. Though rewarding, owning a border collie comes with responsibility and commitment. Typically, what you put into the relationship is what you get out of it. We hope to share the beauty of the breed with like minded families and look for those who want to build a life with their dog.
The first 16 weeks of a puppy’s life are the most influential to their perception and feelings about the world. We call this their primary critical period. As half of this time is spent with the breeder, we understand how important it is to raise young puppies and prepare them for the world. Pups we produce here at Lionheart Border Collies will receive substantial attention and commitment to initiating their life skills, with our goal to set them up for success.
All new puppy owners will also receive access to our Complete Introduction to Dog Training Video Series, to continue developing their puppy’s education and create a strong bond between owner and pup.
