Our mission is to create healthy, wholesome border collies who exhibit sound temperaments, workability and a deep loyalty that show cases the beauty of the breed.

I, Jordan, am a dog trainer who offers training, boarding and daycare to the local community. I have my four border collies Leo, Grace, Theodore and Odette, who have been with me through it all. They are wonderful dogs, who I believe show case the perfect balance of work, play and rest, that the breed can offer. Raising and training young pups is my passion and I bring a modern dog trainer’s perspective, to build a strong foundation for our puppies.
We are a small kennel, where my dogs are ingrained in most of my endeavours. Our lifestyle, with its activities and training, compliments the energy and needs of the breed. Leo, Grace, Teddy and Odette join me for adventures, hiking, jogging, training, camping, and fill the role of social and demo dogs to help with clients and their dogs.
Apart from their foundational training, long list of tricks, obedience, herding, scent work and adventurous spirit, we hope to pursue more competitive sports, once we are settled back in Australia. Many of our pups go to sport homes and excel in sports like agility, obedience, tricks, disc, barn hunt, and being good citizens.
Life with a border collie is a special partnership and can offer great purpose and fulfillment. Though rewarding, owning a border collie comes with responsibility and commitment. Typically, what you put into the relationship is what you get out of it. We hope to share the beauty of the breed with like minded families and look for those who want to build a life with their dog.
The first 16 weeks of a puppy’s life are the most influential to their perception and feelings about the world. We call this their primary critical period. As half of this time is spent with the breeder, we understand how important it is to raise young puppies and prepare them for the world. Pups we produce here at Lionheart Border Collies will receive substantial attention and commitment to initiating their life skills, with our goal to set them up for success.
All new puppy owners will also receive access to our Complete Introduction to Dog Training Video Series, to continue developing their puppy’s education and create a strong bond between owner and pup.
